Final Digipak poster

This is my final Poster and I am very proud of it. I took all of the things that I learned from my first two attempts and made sure that they were addressed so that the same mistakes weren't made again. First of all, I took an image that is in an urban setting while feeling youthful and light-hearted. I took it from a low angle to give Charlotte authority and make her look powerful. Our video has a strong theme of female empowerment and acceptance so I felt it was important to continue this theme into the digipak poster. I chose fonts that fit well together, A consistent theme for her name/ logo a larger and bolder font for her album title and a more basic and simple font for all the relevant information that needed to be passed to the consumer with ease. I also learned from the idea of consistent branding. I chose a softer and more individual colour to represent her brand and continued the same colour into some of the titles. I located studio logos that fit the theme of the poster rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. When I looked at what I had created this time I was very happy with the results.

What I learnt:

Again i founf the importance of branding. I also realised just how the size of font can effect how much the poster pops. I used a large font for the title to make it stand out. I found this task difficult as dance artists never realease digipak posters so i had to try and figureout what they would include if they did. I am hugely proud of the product that I have created

final digipak CD

This is my final digipak. I decided to use the same colour scheme as my digipak poster so that Mrs.Bee had a consistent brand. I also think that it helps consumers identify that this is a Mrs.Bee Record. I re-designed the CD itself to make it bolder and clearer. I also feel that it is more interesting than the original yellow one. Again I messed around with the hues and saturation but I decided to use a consistent colour. I bought this through on nearly all images. I also decided to include lines from the song in the digipak. I did this to make links to her hit single. It also links to our narrative of female independence

      What did I learn?:

I learnt the importance of branding. This is evident throughout my use of a consistent colour scheme. I also learnt how important it is to use a variety of fonts that still comply with the conventions of the genre. This is seen with a consistent font for the title of the album and the artist. The font for the song titles is different but also similar so it all ties in together and the font for the quotes are in a graffiti style which applies to the urban feel of the video and all of the products that come with it.
